This new scenic ledge became a hiking feature/destination when the state cut a completely new trail to Eagle Rock from the Southeast as the new "preferred" trail to Eagle Rock (which used to be accessed from the North). This exposed ledge is about 25 feet from the true summit a bushwhack nearby; but the views are from the ledge. Saddle is 2,250 feet just east of the peak between this and the nearest taller neighbor, Big Moose Mountain (Called Big Squaw on the USGS map)
