One of the highest points on Georgetown Island, the peak offers a view south and east towards Reid and Sagadahoc Bay.
From some surveys, Higgins is the highest point on the island. The land was donated in the year 2000 by the Higgins family, as part of the old farmstead.
Public access is on the west side of state route 127 between Beaver Valley Road and the old cemetery. Trail is a loop, with the northern part being longer and the southern part being a bit steeper.
Hunting is allowed (September through December), dogs are not allowed, and the area is not well traveled but should be easy to follow if you're moderately familiar with trail walking.
