While the Puna de Atacama is arid and somewhat remote, the weather is good, there is little snow to contend with, and good jeep roads cross the area. This point seems somewhat close to what might be a good road and should not present any serious technical issues. Volcán Lascar, a bit to the north, has been climbed by a couple of Peakbagger.com registered users.
