USGS map names this peak "Snow Peak" and the name fits as it is lower than its next highest nearest neighbor (Bonneville Peak) but it retains more snow in the summer in the long ravines down its north slopes. The saddle between the two peaks has an elevation just above the 8,640 contour so call the Col around 8,650 plus or minus.

Snow Peak is a nice addition to your county highpoint quest of Bonneville Peak without the clutter of snow ski towers and more solitude (2011-07-14). Photo by William Musser.
