This map comes from the Edgecombe County GIS site and shows 2-foot contours. The contours are unlabeled, so I used the 139 spot elevation (where Old Wilson Road crosses E Tarboro/Bullock School Road) as a reference point and worked from there. This spot is one contour below the highest. So if the 139 elevation is correct, the highest contours in the county are 140 feet, with none reaching 142. However, LiDAR indicates the highest point is 139.7 feet, which would mean the highest contours are 138 feet with none reaching 140. In that case, the aforementioned crossroads is in a 136 contour. Yellow areas are the highest contours. Light-blue lines mark the next contour down. Red lines correspond to the 140 contours on the USGS quads. Red numbers are COHP area numbers.
