Prominence Ladder from Macon County High Point
County HP site claims this to be on private land but the USGS map and other sources show it in the national forest. Not clear who owns. But this is the highest ground in the forest. NNHN is North and East and the connecting saddle appears to be around 430 near the power line to the north
Note: update, the main road to the HP is gated and signed on private land. However, the road right next to it (to the west) is not posted or gated and intersects the ridge at elevation 580 which may be the highest in the National Forest that is on public land.
