This is the ultimate U.S. anti-peak. Badwater Basin in Death Valley National Park, California is noted as the lowest point in North America, with an elevation of 282 ft (86 m) below sea level. The actual Low Point is a few miles NW offshore of the parking lot. The road and parking lot are likely around -265 to -270'. The boardwalk may be about -275', and there is a small puddle of shallow water immediately to the right (NE) of the boardwalk that many tourists feel represents "The Low Point". For what it's worth, this is the lowest Paved Road in America, at roughly -270' or so.
