List Description

The parks on this list are called "Parcs Nationaux du Québec" (National Parks of Quebec) by the provincial government, but that is a misleading classification given traditional worldwide park nomenclature. These are not the National Parks run by the Canadian federal government's Parks Canada agency, but run by the Province of Quebec. To avoid confusion, this site will call them Provincial Parks.

Many of these parks contain well-known mountainous areas, and of all the possible state/province park high point lists in North America, this is clearly one of the best from a peakbagging perspective. Some of the peaks in the far north have daunting access issues, and some are in the lowlands, but most are good and accessible hikes near populated areas.
