I love hiking with my dog, Twig. I only log peaks above 100m prominence unless they are part of a list I am pursuing, or are interesting points I visited during my travels, or peaks reached with meaningful people.

I recently got called out because some snowflakes followed my track and didn’t like it. Listen up, my track is not your guide. I am not your guide. I’m just a guy who goes up mountains. Because the route worked for me doesn’t mean it’s established and the de facto route. In fact, it’s probably the opposite. I like to explore and try weird and new ways to get up peaks. I spend hundreds of hours studying maps and weather and conditions, and chances are high that my route worked on my exact day and would not have worked otherwise. I post my tracks on this app for better or worse; don’t assume the way I did it was easy, safe, or guaranteed to work for you.
