Originally from Ohio, I first got interested in Peak bagging on a trip to Colorado in 2002. From 2006-2008, I lived in Salt Lake City, Utah and became more serious about pursuing peaks. I have never really worried so much about reaching all the popular or even highest peaks. I liked finding more obscure and lesser traveled mountains in the Wasatch range. There are certainly some more hard core peak baggers than myself, but it is still fun and a sometimes a good challenge. Currently near Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Most mountain tops here have no views and are bagged just for the sake and challenge of doing so. Hiking off trail to old home places and cemeteries is my primary objective but I still do peak bagging anytime the opportunity presents itself. I have used this site numerous times gathering information on off trail mountain tops.
