Ascent of Mount Patterson on 2018-07-09
|Date:||Monday, July 9, 2018|
|Ascent Type:||Successful Summit Attained|
| Elevation:||11673 ft / 3557 m|
Ascent Trip ReportDidn't drive the truck all the way to the DPS TH, but we were able to go around the lake, following the road around the north shore. There are some rocks and creek crossings but they were okay taken slow. Wildflowers were abundant and all colors. Lots of white lupine. Weather was pleasant, although quite windy on top. There is a new US flag flying. We ended up parking 3.8mi from the summit, so 7.6mi rt, and we got an extra 1000' gain. No snow left, a little wet in places but easily passable on foot. It was clear that motorized vehicles had been driving to the summit, but they must have been smaller than our lifted F-350a with camper. With Anne Rolls and Peter.
