Ascent Trip ReportAscended exposed class 4 northwest ridge of White Top to join the standard class 4-5.5 DC route. Descended south off DC #1 via a series of rappels to continue along the ridge. At the notch between #1 & #2 ascended a low 5th class ledge pitch to a 5.6 crack pitch up to the pinnacle between crags #1 & #2, following the ridge for an airy class 4 knife edge traverse to the summit of DC #2. It was late, so we descended south to the gap between #2 and #3 to bail west down a class 2-3 chute with a rappel at a drywall (high 5th class) & chockstone part way down. This is a spicy fun set of crags, but ropes get wrecked easily here and knock rocks down, so if heading beyond the standard highpoint route be prepared with sufficient gear or sufficient willingness to free solo challenging, unrelenting, exposed class 4 and 5 sections.
