Ascent Trip ReportStarted from Refugio Citelli on the east side at 8am at 1700 meters. Up to the observatory then followed the Jeep trails around to the west side up to 3100meters where a foot path led to the central crater. Continued up to the true summit on the northeastern crater, arriving by 1pm. Rested and explored the crater area for an hour. Descended down the east side pumice slopes at 2 pm effortlessly and rejoined the ascent track approximately 2400 meters. Arrived at the Refugio at 5pm.
5 hours up, 1 hour on top, 3 hours descent. Approximately 5600’ ascent and XX miles loop.
