Ascent Trip ReportYou should read Ken Oeser's trip report from COHP.org for directions to the high point. They are excellent and will not be repeated here.
There are three 600 foot elevation contours at the intersection of Road N and Road PP in Scott County. The one to the west of road N has been leveled into a parking lot where we parked. It is at least four or five feet lower than the northern area. The northern area previously had a "trailer home" on it but now has a newly constructed house on it. The land to the south of the house has been flattened into a lawn and is no higher than the land across the road in the 590 foot contour. Thus the only 600 foot contour remaining undisturbed (and, I believe, actually towers above 600 feet is the southern area. It is wooded and rises significantly above the road.
The parking lot is for a bar called the Hiney Hut which does not open until 1 PM so visiting in the morning (7:30 AM) we had no problem finding a parking spot.
