Ascent Trip ReportHans Haustein's 2001 directions are still good, and the gravel roads are fine for any car. Set your car GPS for Poteau Mountain Road, Hartford AR, and then follow the attached GPX file for the route up from West Hartford Road.
It looks like the summit road follows the county line near the top, so the Sebastian HP should be on your left and the Scott HP on the right as you arrive. With seven communication towers erected around the summit, it's hard to find the "natural" high ground. |
