Ascent Trip ReportSee N Thunder report for my GPS route. This was part of the Hematoma Quad.
Once the saddle W of Big Horn is reached, the route up Lone Peak South is a surprisingly low key walk. I contoured S to get around the pines on the ridge, and could see tracks that other had done likewise. The views S towards the Utah County Wasatch and the lake are very pretty. The only people I saw since leaving the Little Cottonwood trail were climbers near the peak.
