Ascent Trip ReportSee N Thunder report for my GPS route.
My second trip up S Thunder, this time via Coalpit Gulch (the Hematoma Quad). I had a rather cruxy moment on one of the crags about halfway between N Thunder and the point that forms the Thunder Bowl headwall. Eventually found my way down, but I wished I dropped off the ridge earlier. From there, I dropped down to the rocks as quickly as I could, under the snow bands, and straight up the N face (if you can call it that) From that point, traversing to S Thunder was relatively easy.
