Ascent Trip Report07:00 - I got an early start and drove to the base of Saddleback Mt ski area. I usually like to drive to the highest possible condo/parking area and cut over to the ski trails to avoid as much vertical as possible. So, I parked at a condo and walked around to the trails only to find very tall grass and the sound of running water. Abort. I got back in the car in drove to the base lodge. A much better plan as the hiking trail starts from the front of the base lodge (gravel + dry).
07:20 - Restart from the base lodge. I walked around the lodge to the chairlift and started up the trail.
08:05 - Summit - Saddleback, continue on the AT towards the Horn.
08:40 - Summit - The Horn.
09:15 - Summit - Saddleback. I missed the turn off from the AT to the right and followed the trail further than I should have. I realized my mistake and backtracked around the pond and onto the correct trail.
09:50 - Back in the parking lot/car.
