Camped out just below Buckhorn Pass and then approached the ridge from the northwest on a climber's trail that is not marked on any map to get to the primary trail. Ascended over the knob at 6,600 feet down the saddle and scrambled up to the top of the peak. Beautiful day with great views. Saw a few mountain goats on the way down. Entered and exited from Upper Big Quilcene and Marmot Pass. All the snow has melted out aside from a few patches over by Buckhorn Pass.
