Ascent Trip ReportStarted hiking from Sulphur Creek TH around 9 pm Friday night. Walked for a couple of hours and bivied in a clearing by the trail.
7 am to 3 pm worked my way up to my next bivy spot. Continued on the trail to PCT SB which I stayed on until 5800' in the bowl north of pt7195. Worked up to the saddle and picked out a spot around 6600' just east of pt7195.
Moving by 5 am Sunday, easy glacier hike over to Frostbite Ridge. Up the ridge mostly on snow. Some brief scrambling above 10k. Steep snow climb up the north face just below the summit, topped out at 9 am. Reversed the route, picked up my things by 12. Long trudge back to the car by 9:30 pm. On the way down the PCT around 4500' I was nearly brained by a log across the trail which I didn't see because I was wearing a visor and looking down.
