Ascent Trip Report

Snow climb with Marc Hoffmann. Spent the night at the upper TH and got a 5am start Saturday morning. The couloir was in good condition but does get early morning light. The snow was still hard so crampons served us well. By the time we reached the top it was pretty mushy. The couloir was more deeply inset than expected and the right side of the wall was the source of a lot of flake-age, helmets required. TIP: do not plan to glissade this route. There's too much debris and the slope will put you into the wall. We attempted to glissade the route we ascended and ended up down climbing 70% of the couloir, ugh!
