Ascent Trip ReportDecalibron-style. Started at the large gravel area beneath the mill, just prior to the “2.5 miles to Kite Lake” sign. This way we were able to knock out 3000+ vertical gain. Hike began at 08:45. One hour to Kite Lake. 2.5 hours to Mt. Democrat summit. 1.75 hours from Democrat to Cameron summit. 20 minutes from Cameron to Lincoln summit. One hour from Lincoln to Bross summit. 1.5 hours from Bross to Kite Lake. Another hour back to the car, which we arrived to at 18:45. Entire trip took a total of ten hours, with photo opps included. |
