Ascent Trip Report

Weather forecast showed snow level would be 4500 w/ 4-10 inches of new snow above and 30 mph gusts. Decided to give it a shot anyways and willing to turn around if the weather turned nasty up high. There wasn't much snow sticking to the trail until where it crossed the pct, and even then the snow wasn't too deep, ankle deep except for the drifts. All the snow was new and fluffy. Wind was light, maybe 10 mph at most. Summit pinnacle was covered in snow and rime ice, but I was able to climb up and down after cleaning the route off. On the way down from the summit, the wind picked up and weather turned nasty, but subsided by the time we made it back down to the pct. Definitely some good Scottish conditions today, and the new snow will probably stick for a week or two.
