Ascent Trip ReportLong 10 hour plus day. Deadfall prevented driving to TH. Stopped about 20 minute hike prior to normal TH. Followed trail to about 8100' then cross country to saddle between peak 8624' and Mokelumne. From there up ridgeline to base of final summit. Detoured around to south side on final ascent to avoid what I thought might be ( and turned out not to be)a false summit. Scattered snow patches from saddle to base of final summit. No snow on final ascent. This is one of those isolated high points that sits west of the main Sierra peaks so it has an unobstructed 360 degree view. All peaks of the Sierra crest to the east and south east are visible. Probably one of the better panoramic views in the northern Sierra. Reminds me of the views from Spanish Mountain in the southern Sierra. About 15 miles and 3400 feet elevation gain.
