Ascent Trip Report

Started mt Colorado Peak list with Sawtooth after first seeing it. This was my first time over 12,000 ft on foot. Did the first 3 miles in 1 hour. after that, post-holing until the snow consolidated around 11,000 ft. The 200-300 vertical foot East Face of Sawtooth was a really fun snow climb at about 45-50 Degree slope. Started to post hole again on the crux before I reached the summit ridge, which was clear of snow. I think the prime consolidated snow has already passed for this season, due to the horrible winter we just had.
