Ascent Trip Report

We accessed the west trailhead from the north and found generally great roads- the very last spur (marked 4wd on the topo) has some challenging spots (rocks and dips) closer to the trailhead (requiring high-clearance, and maybe 4WD), but overall it was decent. You could get fairly close (maybe within a mile) with moderate clearance.

The hike itself was enjoyable with great scenery at all times. The steepest sections were a little looser than I'd prefer, but not terrible. The secondary summit is lower, but an enjoyable add-on, adding about 160' of gain over 0.4 miles round trip. I tacked those stats onto my decent, but the time listed for decent is just from the main summit.
