Ascent Trip Report

Did this on a hot May weekday hoping I could drive a good portion of the way up to the summit. As with Ben Lostracco's TR, I didn't feel comfortable taking my car more than a mile in, where there is a pullout on the left shortly after the first "STATE LAND/STATE FOREST" sign. Even up to this point, Tassel Hill Rd is VERY rough, but can be taken by a normal car at very low speed. I was glad I pulled over, because shortly after the pullout is a large rut that a car can't get over. From here to the summit was a simple road walk. If you have a high-clearance vehicle, you can probably get about half a mile further, but the path to the summit is blocked with boulders at this point. Summit is marked by a large clearing, could not find any benchmark.
