|Peak:||Spanish Springs Peak|
| Elevation:||7402 ft / 2256 m|
Ascent Trip ReportLovely Friday afternoon hike from Pyrenees Way. Very green open space. So, so quiet. Very few trees and no people. Saw three mule dear near the top. Some piles of horse poop, but no horses at all. Easy going along the dirt road until the final steep cross-country section to the summit. Great views on top. Got side-tracked slightly on the way down, crossing some scree sections. 2001 feet gained. 8.6 miles total. Hard to believe this is mostly private land.
Final cross-country assent to the summit. Stay to the left to avoid the numerous sections of loose scree (2018-05-18). Photo by Marc Belanger.
