Ascent Trip Report

This was a quick jaunt while Julie made a phone call. It was almost sunset and slightly windy so a T-shirt wasn't enough. Katrina was kind enough to give me her wind-breaking coat. The path was paved up the the fire tower and there we found a benchmark in the stone patio. We took in the sights from both viewpoints and enjoyed the cool weather. Note that "Secrets of the National Parks" claims another hike goes to the highest point in the park, a much longer hike at that, but this is the actual spot and is super easy to get to.
