Ascent Trip ReportTook my daughter(6) up Skiddaw to bag her first real mountain (done a few Cheviots together but nothing above 2,000ft). Great weather. We went the tourist route from Latrigg car park. We took our time with regular stops... starting about 10:30am and reaching the summit about 2:30pm. Met many people going up and then coming back down but we didn't mind. Bagged Little Man on the way back down to give her first two Wainwrights. Reached the bottom just before 6pm and she was shattered but enjoyed it. |
