Ascent Trip Report

This was our second trip up Beckler peak. The first time, visibility was so poor we couldn't see more than 50-100 feet when we were on the summit so we didn't get to enjoy any of the views. This trip was perfect. Not a cloud in the sky pleasant temperatures and views as far as the eye could see. There was still quite a bit of snow on the ground. The foot-prints in the snow that we followed at a certain point deviated from the standard trail and made a full frontal assault on the peak basically going straight up with no switchbacks. I don't know if this is the standard 'Winter route' but I quite enjoyed it. It was a great little workout.
