Ascent Trip Report

The road from Woodside has been graded and improved since my last visit, making this road very smooth. The part of the road that previously was difficult to pass ( 39.236085, -110.254942) has been cut out of the mountain, making the drive quite simple and wide at this spot.

However - there are now two problems. First, large boulders have been placed about here: 39.247155, -110.264112 , making the trail essentially only passable to UTVs / ATVs etc. I don't think you could get a Jeep or truck through. I BARELY was able to squeeze my RZR 4 1000 through.

Second, a rock slide has left some very large boulders in the road here: 39.243616, -110.262013. Once again, I was barely able to squeeze through in my UTV.

After that, the road was good. The river depth wasn't terribly high, and I was able to drive my RZR all the way to the base of the peak. There were a couple more tight spots further up the trail, which might be difficult without an ATV. Took about 25 minutes. A stark contrast to my prior trip to this remote peak!
