Ascent Trip Report

I parked at the Southern Vermont College Parking lot. There is a trail kiosk right when you come into the parking area. There are some marked trails, but those don't go to the summit. The peakbagger mobile app shows some trails under global topo. Those trails are mostly logging roads.

I went straight up from kiosk and crossed a gravel road on to a path/logging road. This logging road was in rough shape with trees that were cut and left on the road. There were junctions and I ended up south of the peak. I bushwhacked up to summit. Summit has a cell tower with no view. I took another was down which end up being a better trail/road to the bottom. My recommendation if you want to avoid bushwhacking is start up from kiosk and go right on gravel road to the water tower and then head up to the left of it. The general rule is take left junctions. There are a couple of quick possible lefts after the tower don't take them.
