Ascent Trip Report

After climbing the Belvédère-Heights summit, I drove to parc Bellevue's east trailhead on chemin Dunant. There were a few cars in the parking, some archers walking towards the range to the north. I quickly got on the trail, heading to the junction for the John-S.-Bourque summit. The ground was damp but not too muddy. Along the way I encountered three deer on my left that didn't look slightly scared of me. When the trail started climbing, I could see it was used by mountain bikers from the berms and tire tracks. I followed the trail all teh way to the building at the summit, going around to the west where the highest bump is located.

After marking the spot in my GPS, I started downhill, cutting across the open forest, rejoining the trail further below. From there I made my way back to the junction where I would start the short climb towards the second summit.
