Ascent Trip ReportDepending what you go by, the summit is either the obvious bare rock outcropping at the end of the ridge (class 3), or one of the two boulder piles in the woods on the way to it, both of which are higher than it. I managed to jimmy my way to the top of the middle boulder jumble with the aid of a small tree, class 4-ish. From the top, the first boulder--a large, overhanging behemoth--looks just a hair lower. I did not attempt this overhanging boulder, though it might be doable with a pair of climbing shoes.
This is a fun little side trip on the way up Sharp Top--itself an amazing hike--and is well worth the extra bit of time!
