Ascent Trip ReportThe road washout David Porter mentions in his report appears to have been smoothed out a little so hunters can drive all the way to the little hunting camp at the end of the dirt road 1.3 miles further. With 4WD and high clearance, we were able to drive through the little creek and park near the hunter's camp, which was unoccupied when we were there.
The first half of the hike can get a bit brushy, but there are animal trails to follow if you can find them. The main climb itself was pretty nice as Nevada peaks go. The soil was packed just hard enough to make for an easy ascent and an easy descent.
