Ascent Trip ReportAMAZING trip my 3rd time this year to the 2nd highest peak in NYS! TONS of snow and the trail was sweetly packed.. AND alot more level (unless I just had a fast day). Sky was clearing on the way up and as we approached the treeline, we noted that if we moved we could get thru the layer and find an inversion... WE DID... Mt. Marcy was cloud splitting above the inversion... KT finally got a HP after being sidelined with injury all winter... 1st time with Francis and his son. We opted (on a sunday) not to loop out... it would have been perfect! Didn't want to push KT too much either... Poles worked fine... just abit too heavy.
