Ascent Trip Report

Hiked from parking lot to edge of ATL Ocean, touched water then hiked up to this point first noticing it was the only cliff edge that had any prominence at all. Then hiked up the highest ground in each area near golf course and then up to each cliff overlook and down several eagle formations with sheer fall edges. Some have 2 foot knife edges and fell 300 feet to below! Very cool. I then hiked back down to the ocean touched water and hiked up to see the chapel church and hiked all around and satisfied myself that although there is much high ground in the area, I was nowhere near a highpoint spot with some prominence to log. These higher areas on each side of the E'Tretat city varied from 83 to 90 feet well above this "peak" at elevation 233 feet, but this is the only place I stood that at least had some prominence so i logged this "ascent" and then captured all the other highpoints that had less than 25 feet of prominence in my hiking and additional gain exploring the high ground over each of the 3 to 4 arches (portes) far below.
