Ascent Trip ReportParked at the end of Shoemaker Road at the locked gate. Hiked up the dirt road about 1.5 miles and then turned right onto the use trail (well maintained) and hiked up the gully to the ridge line and continued along the ridge over several bumps until reaching the summit. Signed the register and enjoyed the view of Iron Mountain and Baldy in the background. There was no shade along the way, so best not to hike this summit during the summer.
After descending to the dirt road, decided to hike up the dirt road about 0.5 miles to the first of two tunnels. Passed through it and returned down the dirt road to the car. The tunnel was not that interesting, and would not likely go through it again.
