Ascent Trip ReportThis peak was an unexpected pleasure as part of a ski/snowshoe trip on a beautiful late winter day. The snow had been heavy and was deep but settled. I parked my car at the end of Lanesboro Road in Peacham. The road continues as a walking trail and is one of the "Peacham Pathways". For short distance to a camp it was actually plowed but beyond that it was all deer and moose tracks. At about 1/2 mile I followed a forest/logging roads in a southerly direction. At about 3 miles I connected with a VAST trail near the trail sign for Devil's Hill. I utilized the VAST Trail to its highest point near Jennison and then launched off on snowshoes. The peak is relatively open with decent views. I had hoped to continue to Jerry Lund Mountain which is across Peacham Bog and less than 2 miles but the deep snow had tired me out. On the return trip I ascended Devil's Hill which has fine views to the east and west.
