Ascent Trip ReportEntered 3/18/2018. This day hike was done with Outdoor Pursuits Winter 2016-2017.
We parked along Route 302 near the trail head of the Webster-Jackson Trail. There was plenty of snow on the ground and it was partly cloudy out. We ascended the Webster-Jackson Trail. We got an amazing view of the Crawford Notch from Bugle Cliff. We could even see our car! We merged left to continue on the Jackson Branch of the Webster-Jackson Trail, bringing us right to the summit of Jackson. We could see parts of the Presidential Ridge from the summit, as far as Mt. Webster and the Crawford Notch southwest and Mount Eisenhower northeast. We followed the same trail down, taking another look at Bugle Cliff, since it was only about 50 feet from the trail.
