Ascent Trip ReportEntered 3/18/2018. This trip was done with Outdoor Pursuits Fall 2016.
This was my first trip with Outdoor Pursuits and my first in awhile in the White Mountains. We parked at the Highland Center Visitor Center and steadily hiked up towards the Presidential Ridge on the Crawford Path. The views were good. We were able to see Mt. Washington in the distance. I believe it already had a bit of snow/ice on it.
We descended using the same trail.
Looking back on this hike, it was a real gamechanger. I hadn't been out in the White Mountains in a while and it was the first time I really appreciated being out there and mountains around me. I had never done a hike without family before, and meeting all these folks who shared an interest in the outdoors really sparked my own. I know I wanted to hike, which is why I joined Outdoor Pursuits, but it wasn't until this hike that I came to appreciate and really enjoy it.
