Ascent Trip ReportEntered 3/17/2018. Day hike with Outdoor Pursuits Fall 2016.
We drove in on a dirt road called the Ravine Lodge Road along Route 118. There was a gate with a parking lot that prevented us from driving right up to the trail head. We parked there and hiked about half a mile to get to the trail head. We then hiked down into a ravine crossing Beaver Brook and back up on the Beaver Brook trail which took us to the summit. It was a very clear day and you could see some of the peaks in the Adirondacks to the west (notably one that seemed to have an overhang) and the Presidential Range to the east from the summit. We took the same route down.
