Ascent Trip Report

I thought this was going to be a pretty easy one at less than 2 miles. There were a few inches of snow on the ground. I met a woman at the trailhead who had just finished. She recommended wearing crampons due to ice under the snow, so I did. I headed up and... holy rock course. I met a man who was coming down who was wearing spikes that were balling up with snow as the temps rose to the 30s. Got to the tower and tried to find the big, funky boulder along the ridge that people told me about but I guess it was covered with snow. Pretty much a white out from the tower. Headed back down and those rocks got me. Twisted my ankle, but I wasn't going to let that keep me from my plan to go to St. Regis next.
