Ascent Trip ReportAs mentioned elsewhere, be sure to obtain permits for everyone in your party before this trip.
The drive in was nicer than expected for the first 18 miles or so (easy to go about 30mph on it), but then it got considerably tougher (about 20mph).
The hike along the road was painfully unnecessary, but otherwise the easiest part of the hike. We started before dawn to try to end in daylight and it worked.
The mountain part of the hike was straightforward, but unfortunately on consistently bad terrain. We did make the lower section better on the descent by keeping a little more to the south side.
