Ascent Trip ReportSunny winter day. Took the Spruceton trail. Mostly clear with no snow, a little ice for the first half or so. Then a lot of ice most of the way; used microspikes. Saw several hikers without microspikes just wearing sneakers and having a tough time. Took the yellow markers to the John Robb lean two and through the rock formation side trail, then returned to the main trail to the tower. Very little snow at summit, mostly near the woods. Temps in 40's but wind chill in the tower made it very cold and some breeze on the summit. Nice views from the tower.
