Ascent Trip ReportI followed B1000 (standard route). After 1.25 miles, the better road goes steeply uphill to straight-left. Follow that. After approximately 2.1 miles from the entrance gate, there is a four-way intersection where the better road continues steeply uphill. However, here you want to take a right onto B2000; it looks like a lesser used road but leads you exactly where previous trip reports indicate. The grassy spur road previously mentioned seemingly disappears into a brief jungle before the excellent final road appears. Some foundations left at the old lookout site, prior to the true summit.
SIDE-NOTE #1: During my descent, I noticed a sign for B2000 within 0.50-0.75 miles of the entrance gate, so it might be possible to shave off a little mileage going that way directly to the aforementioned four-way junction of B1000 & B2000.
SIDE-NOTE #2: I read two maps which showed the highest point listed as "Mount Chatham" but the massif as Big Skidder Hill. Perhaps the highpoint of what maps show as Big Skidder Hill is the former lookout site, and the true summit of the peak is Mount Chatham. One can only wonder...
