|Date:||Monday, January 15, 2018|
|Ascent Type:||Successful Summit Attained|
| Elevation:||4947 ft / 1507 m|
Ascent Trip ReportOur fourth day in a row of DPS peakbagging. Peter and I drove back to the turnoff for Brown and went a short distance in the very dark desert to spend the night. In the morning, we drove to the trailhead. The road closest to the highway is worse than farther toward Deadman's Pass. We were glad to see it improved. The washes in the first couple of miles have altered the road somewhat, so best to drive this in daylight. We ascended on the right (south) side of the bump and made our way to the peak. Nice climb with good route-finding options. Spectacular views from the summit. Descended on the north side of the bump and back to the truck, which seemed an easier route.
