Ascent Trip ReportIn order to avoid the posted access road, a southern approach from Quick Farm Rd. is a good idea. Just to the south of the midpoint of Gilmore Pond, there is an access point to the Westborough Community Land Trust trail around the pond. We circled the pond counterclockwise, and near its northeast corner we struck out north for the summit, passing just beyond the houses on Imperial Circle. There was about 20 centimeters of snow on the ground today, but it was not difficult or steep at all wearing boots. Furthermore, for most of the way we followed an existing trail in the snow; it seems like locals hike this way between the pond and the summit too. Reached the summit with the antennae, took some pics, then returned the way we came.
