Ascent Trip ReportFollowed the yellow Suffern-Bear Mountain (S-BM) Trail-Passed the Orak foundations up to the communications towers, then to the old fire tower. Tower was in poor repair and unable to climb (bottom stairs removed or worn away). Followed the joint S-BM/Long Path to the Big Hill Shelter and viewed the New York City skyline. Took the long path back down (yellow/aqua)back to the junction of the yellow S-BM Trail. Explored the Orak ruins for awhile. Quite the unique, interesting area. Easy with a few steeper spots. We weren't sure if we saw the glacial erratic.
